The different job families at AIDA Cruises are called “Marine” and “Guests” on board and “Business” ashore. In each, there are exciting working areas for specialist and management staff to discover, including navigation and technology, catering and hotel work, the well-being and sports sectors and tourism and business administration. We want to attract the best employees for all of our job families. To do this, we organize career days across Germany and Austria and have stands at national and international career fairs. In addition, we organize road shows and information days. Details on our job families, job offers and specifications can be found on our online career portal.
In order to attract potential applicants, we completely overhauled our career pages last year, and we also have a social media presence, organize various career events and cooperate closely with a number of higher education institutions. In addition to the various individual job profiles we offer, the international environment and diverse career development opportunities at AIDA are also key to our attractiveness as an employer. We also offer exciting challenges for artists. You can show off your talent at our worldwide castings. Our career days also support our efforts to ensure that our AIDA family is constantly growing with the addition of new and qualified young employees.
And our efforts are bearing fruit. In 2012, we registered more clicks on our online career portal than ever before.
Because AIDA is a globally active company, we also make a global effort to find new employees. We operate training centers in the Philippines, India (where there are now two centers, since the opening of the Goa center), Indonesia and the Ukraine. In 2012 alone, we trained a total of 1,460 employees in 113 training courses at five training centers.
