Our “AIDA cares 2019” sustainability report follows the international „Sustainability Reporting Standard“ (SRS) of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), which was laid down by the Carnival Corporation & plc as a corporation-wide reporting standard.
B.A.U.M. Consult GmbH examined the core degree of compliance of “AIDA cares 2019” with the GRI using the documents made available by AIDA Cruises. The scope of the review is essentially limited to the current sustainability report 2019 in the online version with the existing contents.
B.A.U.M. Consult carried out the following assessments:
• Examination of the completeness of the information provided
• Examination of the source of the information and its correct attribution in the report
• Comments or suggestions for improvement with regard to the reported indicators
They did not carry out:
• An examination of the background documents with following exemptions: Spot check of sustainable shore excursions of AIDA and systematic of excursion’s valuation, spot check of waste data
• An examination of aspects regarding Carnival Corporation & plc, as they are already subject to an external audit. These are also referenced accordingly.
Responsibility for the content of the sustainability report lies with the legal representative of AIDA Cruises.
The survey is managed by the specialist departments in agreement with the Communication & Sustainability department and recorded in the areas of controlling, guests and personnel as well as by Carnival Maritime GmbH.
