AIDAdiva kicked off the cruise season in Rostock-Warnemünde on Thursday, April 27, 2017. At around 7 a.m., the 252-meter-long and 32.2-meter-wide ship arrived at pier 7 from Gothenburg with some 2,000 guests on board, rounding off its cruise from the Caribbean to Rostock-Warnemünde via the Canary Islands. Yet that same evening, it was “Anchors aweigh!” for AIDAdiva guests on a 4-day cruise to Oslo and Copenhagen.
With 40 arrivals this year, AIDA Cruises is once again the strongest cruising partner and one of the city’s most important economic drivers.
This season AIDAdiva will be a guest in Rostock-Warnemünde 16 times between April 27 and September 1, 2017 offering trips such as 10-day Baltic cruises bound for St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Copenhagen, and Danzig. AIDAdiva’s season will end in Rostock-Warnemünde on Friday, September 1, 2017, with a real highlight: a transatlantic cruise to New York via Norway, Greenland, and Canada.
As the second ship in the AIDA fleet, AIDAmar will be setting sail 24 times from Rostock-Warnemünde starting on Saturday, May 6, 2017, on 7-day trips to the most beautiful Baltic cities. To finish off the season, AIDAmar will also depart to New York on Saturday, October 7, 2017, with a stop in Hamburg.
The cruises to Hanse Sail will be another high point for sailing fans. On August 12 and 13, 2017, guests will be able to enjoy these spectacular maritime festivities from the pool deck, as the ship sets sail and docks.
